January 2012: Launch of Refurbished Equipment section
Due to the economic climate, we have been receiving more and more enquiries on used equipment. We have decided to respond to this but apply our high standards and have launched a refurbished equipment operation.
All units are tested in our own workshops and any defects are rectified. If they cannot be repaired to our high standards, they are scrapped. This ensures we only offer the best quality equipment and we prefer to supply to East Anglia so we can provide our best after-sales service They are sold with a minimum 3 months warranty.

January 2011: Huge gas explosion in cafe: Safety advice
On 12 January, a cafe just 50m from our offices was demolished by a large gas explosion. We are not familiar with the site and the cause is as yet unknown. Thankfully, nobody was hurt but many surrounding buildings have been badly damaged and a large number of businesses disrupted.
In the circumstances, we felt compelled to remind all caterers who operate gas appliances about gas safety.

July 2010: Improved Customer Service
A key part of our continued expansion is to provide improved service levels from our office. SHARON BALL has joined us to provide service and administration support and she will normally be the voice on the phone when you call us. I am sure you all wish her every success.
April 2010: Broadland joins the Catering Equipment Distributor's Association
This is the highly respected trade association for catering equipment distributors. Membership requires us to meet a number of criteria, not least of which is quality and we are required to follow a strict code of practice while conducting our business. This move is part of our on-going crusade to improve the quality of our services and the benefits to you are many. These can be viewed on the CEDA website by CLICKING HERE
January 2010: Health and Safety Executive campaign on underground LPG pipework.
In 2004, an LPG explosion resulting from leaking underground pipework claimed the lives of 9 people and injured another 33. HSE are conducting a campaign on this danger and we have issued a bulletin explaining what this means to you.

.24th November 2009: Restricted parts supply on Elmwood Dishwashers
If you own an Elmwood dishwasher, please be advised we are having difficulty obtaining parts. We have two alternative suppliers working on the problem but in the meantime we ask for your patience if our service is not up to our usual standards on these particular machines.
This also applies to Clenaware machines.

24th August 2009: Catering Gas Safety regulations
tightened up.
The main standard covering catering gas safety has just been updated and strengthened, particularly relating to kitchen ventilation. There is no notice period and so the new standard applies with immediate effect.
